Directions

The Lafayette Courthouse is located in the 800 block of Lafayette Street, in Lafayette, Louisiana. The entrance to the courthouse is facing Lafayette Street.

I-10 - If you are traveling on I-10 you will take Exit 103A. This will put you on Hwy. 167 South which will turn into the Evangeline Thruway. The fifth traffic light will be the intersection of Evangeline Thruway and Second Street, turn right and stay in the middle lane. The second traffic light on Second Street is the Intersection of Congress and Lafayette Street, turn left. Since there is no parking around the Federal Building, you will pass the Federal Building and stop at the Intersection of Lafayette and Vermilion, turn left. If you are unable to find a meter to park at proceed down Vermilion Street to the intersection of Vermilion and Polk and you will find the Parc du Centreville Parking Tower on the left.

I-49 traveling South - If you are traveling South on I-49: Once you are in Lafayette, I-49 becomes Evangeline Thruway. Travel down the Thruway until you reach the fifth traffic light. This will be the intersection of Evangeline Thruway and Second Street, turn right and stay in the middle lane. The second traffic light on Second Street is the Intersection of Congress and Lafayette Street, turn left. Since there is no parking around the Federal Building, you will pass the Federal Building and stop at the Intersection of Lafayette and Vermilion, turn left. If you are unable to find a meter to park at proceed down Vermilion Street to the intersection of Vermilion and Polk and there you will find the Parc du Centreville Parking Tower on the left.

LA 90 traveling North - If you are traveling North on LA 90 you will drive into Lafayette and the Hwy. will turn into Evangeline Thruway. Continue to travel North on the Evangeline thruway until you reach the intersection of Evangeline Thruway and Second Street, turn left and stay in the middle lane. The third traffic light on Second Street is the Intersection of Congress and Lafayette Street, turn left. Since there is no parking around the Federal Building, you will pass the Federal Building and stop at the Intersection of Lafayette and Vermilion, turn left. If you are unable to find a meter to park at proceed down Vermilion to the intersection of Vermilion and Polk and you will find the Parc du Centreville Parking Tower on the left.

Congress Street traveling North - If you are traveling North on Congress Street: turn right on Lafayette Street. Since there is no parking around the Federal Building, you will pass the Federal Building and stop at the Intersection of Lafayette and Vermilion, turn left. If you are unable to find a meter to park at proceed down Vermilion to the intersection of Vermilion and Polk and you will find the Parc du Centreville Parking Tower on the left.

Hwy. 167 traveling North - If you are traveling North on Highway 167: As you travel into Lafayette from Highway 167 the street will become Johnston Street. You will travel down Johnston, pass University of Louisiana (formerly known as USL ) until you reach Jefferson Street, turn left. When you get to the intersection of Jefferson Street and Vermilion Street you will turn right to get to the Parc du Centreville Parking Tower. You will see the parking tower on the left at the intersection of Vermilion and Polk. To reach the Federal Building, as you leave the Parking Tower turn right and walk two blocks to Lafayette Street. The Federal Building is on the corner.


Parking

The courthouse is located in the central business district and is easily accessible. There is parking on the streets surrounding the building, as well as parking lots on the North and East side of the court house.
